Following the arrangements for the forthcoming APC State Congress in Ebonyi, some of the party stakeholders in the state have commended Governor David Nweze Umahi for maintaining peace and equity in the recent zoning of the major positions of the party among the three senatorial zones of the state.
The stakeholders who made their feelings known today during an enlarged State APC meeting held in Abakaliki, the state capital, appreciated the Governor for his fatherly role in uniting the party, stressing that equity is the hallmark of achieving unity, peace and progress in any democratic society.
In their remarks, the Chairman Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Chief Elias Mbam, Chairman EDON Group of Companies, Sir Arc. Edward Okereke Nkwegu, the member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, the former Senator, Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone, Senator Anthony Agbo and the former Chairman, Ivo Local Government Area, Chief James Aro Nweke all observed that Governor Umahi has done well in all ramifications to ensure that the party is taking to an enviable height, and assured of their continued solidarity.
The stakeholders who noted that the Governor has been very transparent in handling the affairs of the party, also thanked him for representing the interest of the party loyalists both in the past Local Government Congress and the forthcoming States Congress through consensus and reconciliation process.
Recall that the State Caretaker Chairman and one of the major Chairmanship aspirant of the party, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha had earlier assured of free, fair and violent free exercise.
