It was a moment of glamour and glitz as the candidate for Abakaliki North Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly come 2023, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Hon. Chidi Victor Nwoke celebrated with Local Government executives, ward executives, women leaders, and youths from various wards in the Constituency for their support which gave him victory during the primary election.
Nwoke, who distributed a variety of wears to the people including a new senator's suit, jean trousers, a T-shirt and Phantom of wrappers, commended the people for their solidarity and unwavering support which made him emerged as the candidate for the people's democratic party (PDP) in the constituency and enjoined them to make good use of the opportunity.
Recall, that the celebration and the distribution of the wears came barely a few days after his victory in the constituency primary election held in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
The constituency PDP candidate expressed satisfaction with his victory at the poll and urged eligible voters in the constituency to massively participate in the ongoing voter cards registration and revalidation exercise to vote him into power and other PDP candidates come 2023 general elections in the State.
Nwoke, a business mogul pledged to address aggrieved constituents, rejuvenate health and educational sectors as well as secure job opportunities, while encouraging youths to shun indulging any act capable of bridging peace and orderliness.
On their parts, the PDP chairman of ward 9 Mr Augustine Ezike and his counterpart of ward 10 Stephen Otozi, as well as Local government ex-official Mr Nwaji Nwachukwu, all poured encomiums to the benefactor for his philanthropic disposition, describing it as the first of its kind in the Democratic cycle of Ebonyi State and assured their continuous support towards achieving his victory.
Other speakers, included Mrs Inyama Chinwe, vice chairman of ward 14 and Mr Emmanuel Mkpuma said, Hon. Nwoke's philanthropic gesture needs to be emulated by political office holders in the State and the Country at large, as the development would help to enthrone good leadership among the citizens.
The people also threw their weight behind the success of the PDP candidate and prayed to God to bless him in Political endeavours.
