Uche Nwube is from Ndiebor - Ishieke Community in Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Speaking on phone with journalists in Abakaliki, the cameraman, who is attached to the press unit, at the Ebonyi government's house said he was kidnapped Wednesday evening at about 7 pm.
According to the Victim, "I was kidnapped today, June 8 on my way from Aba, Abia state to Abakaliki.
"I was kidnapped along Okigwe/Aba/Enugu express road while returning from Aba. I was carrying people in my car when I was kidnapped.
"Right now, the kidnappers are demanding N50-million ransom, which I do not know how and when I can get such money. Please, I need help," he lamented.
The Spokesman of Police Command in Ebonyi, SP Chris Anyanwu advised the victim to be calm with the abductors.
"Though, the area the incident occurred is not our jurisdiction. That place is between Imo and Abia state. I advised him to play calm with them and run for his life if found any chance," he said.
