The members of Onwa Offerekpe Foundation in Abakaliki Local Government Council have commended the stakeholders of Abakaliki LGA following the adoption of the Coordinator Ekumenyi DC, Hon. Ebere Nwogba as their chairmanship consensus candidate of the APC in the forthcoming local government elections.
The group after their recent meeting held in Abakaliki noted that Hon. Ebere Nwogba has distinguished himself as a man of hardworking and proven integrity, and as such, should be given the chance to occupy the number one seat in the council.
In an interview, the Coordinator of the foundation, Mr Paul Igwe Nwachukwu who spoke on behalf of others observed that his endorsement was a right step in the right direction, given his antecedents in the past.
He congratulated Hon. Nwogba, wished him well in his future political ambition, stressing that the essence of local government administration is to provide dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots level.
He appreciated the developmental strides of the state governor, Chief David Umahi also thanked the stakeholders of the council for their keen observations and considerations which led to the endorsement of the coordinator while encouraging the good people of Abakaliki LGA to support and vote for him in the upcoming council poll as the next executive chairman of the area because he has been tested and trusted.
