Ebonyi State Deputy Governor, Barr Eric Igwe has charged fathers to pay more critical attention to the moral upbringing of their children in society.

In a press release by Dr Monday Uzor, the Chief Press Secretary to the Ebonyi Deputy Governor, Igwe made this call as the members of the Assemblies of God Nigeria were celebrating the 2022 Father's Day in his state.
He felicitated the fathers for their roles as pillars of the family and urged them to help in reshaping society by paying critical attention to the moral upbringing of their children and wards society.
According to him, poor or lack of parental care has accounted for the increase in societal vices and stressed the need to use the occasion of father's day to reflect on their roles as the engine room of their respective families
He extolled the General Superintendent, District Superintendents and indeed all the fathers of the Assemblies of God for their individual and collective efforts at ensuring spiritual upliftment of the country Nigeria.
He urged them to further pray for the unity of the nation and also get deeply involved in the electoral process to ensure the emergence of God-fearing leaders that will guarantee the future of the nation.
