As the 2023 general elections were approaching, the former Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim said that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has all the basic criteria to fix Nigeria.
Recall that Anyim, the former President of the Nigerian Senate was one of the 2023 presidential aspirants for the PDP ticket but later lost to Atiku.
He has, however, thrown his weight behind Atiku, expressing optimism that the PDP presidential candidate would return be returned victorious in the 2023 polls by Nigerians.
Anyim stated this on his social media handle on Tuesday following what he described as a warm reception of Atiku and other PDP leaders in Akwa Ibom State as the party's official campaign for 2023 began.
He posted: "Yesterday, I was present in Akwa Ibom alongside Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other leaders of our party, PDP, for the official commencement of the 2023 presidential campaign.
"The reception in Uyo was phenomenal as the party chieftains informed the Nigerian people of our dedication to seeing Nigeria rescued from poverty, insecurity and bad governance. As a party, we are convinced that the Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar possesses the qualities and experience needed to restore unity, salvage the economy and ensure the security of the nation.
"Even though the campaign has only just begun, I am optimistic that our mission as a party remains to unify Nigeria and create the Nigeria of our dream with a sense of duty and patriotism."
