Information reaching the NATIONAL PANEL was that the former Senatorial Aspirant of Ebonyi Central Senatorial District under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ambassador Franklin Nchita Ogbuewu has defected to the ruling All Progressives Party, APC in the state.
Ogbuewu contested the PDP primary election of the Ebonyi Central Senatorial Seat but lost to Chief Lazarus Ogbee.
He, however, announced his defection to the APC today at the APC function in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
Ogbuew's defection to the APC came up a few days after his former PDP line-up gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Obinna Ogba reconciled with the authentic PDP gubernatorial candidate in Ebonyi, Chief Ifeanyi Odii.
NATIONAL PANEL reports that people have reacted to Ogbuewu's defection, describing his recent political action as worthless and of no value to the APC.
Reactions from Ebonyi people especially his loyalists who spoke on the condition of anonymity alleged that Ambassador Ogbuewu has not impacted lives positively.
Others argued that he had not empowered people politically since his political preconception.
