Two death victims were reportedly recorded in Ebonyi as Police had a fiery clash with unknown gunmen on Monday in the state.
The incident according to our sources occurred in the Presco in Abakaliki town, around 9 pm, when the unknown gunmen allegedly attacked police officers on their duty post.
The two groups' sporadic exchange of gun bullets against themselves later resulted in one police officer and an unknown gunman being shot dead at the scene of the reprisal attack.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Chris Anyanwu has also confirmed the incident.
Anyanwu said one policeman and an unknown gunman were shot dead during the clash between the Police and the unknown gunmen on Monday night at the Presco in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
