On media fact findings about a later time of probable vindication in the progress of Ebonyi people as a State, Lawrence Egede inscribes.
Assuming my elder brother Chief Benson Egede, who was a foremost Founding father in the creation of Ebonyi State is still alive, Governor David Umahi would have been his best choice for the leadership of Ebonyi State.
This is because the man had tremendous taste and appetite for high standards, top quality of choice and consolidation, which would have made him extremely happy with Governor Umahi's golden achievements for the people of Ebonyi State.
It is now fourteen years since he died as a result of bitter political suffocation, which caused him to have a stroke.
His sickness was generated by the ugly effect of experiencing deliberate acts of vengeful political leadership.
He was a consistent believer in selfless leadership service and a compassionate attitude towards fellow human beings.
In my case, I have seen that many people don't like me, simply because of my habit of being extremely consistent in handling any issue that I am sure of.
I have to embark on this write-up because of what I was made to know by those who read my articles Online.
I was made to understand that some people hate my regular or consistent manner, with which I write about Governor Umahi's great achievements for the people of Ebonyi State.
My belief in telling the truth is that come what may, and from all indications, history may soon vindicate me, for as long as my conscience is clear in doing the best I know to promote the high level of development in Ebonyi State.
Yes! History may soon vindicate me for any unfounded crime of monotony seen in my regular writeups, having been consistent in applauding the good works of Governor Umahi.
History may soon vindicate me for any crime of overzealous reason of commitment, to write and create the best impression for the achievements made so far by Governor Umahi.
History may soon vindicate me for any blunder that anybody could depend on, to file a secret and silent case of abhorrence against me, because I write sheepishly in love for the regime of Governor Umahi.
History may soon vindicate me for what errors anyone could accuse me of, because of where they may find fault in my regular writings to appreciate, promote and publicize the achievements of Governor Umahi for all the good people of Ebonyi State, including those that are in the Diaspora.
History may soon vindicate me for doing what I am doing as my contributions to laud a constructive regime because I have no silver nor gold to offer Governor Umahi at the end of his tenure.
History may soon vindicate me in my writings to demonstrate the joy, with which I have been witnessing the very best of all developments in Ebonyi State.
History may soon vindicate me for the justification I have given to the workaholic prowess of a man that does it beautifully.
History may soon vindicate me for telling the truth, even when it appears that I am cheapening my hard-earned public regard, dignity, integrity, private worth and pride of place in the public assessment results of those who may possess great respect and true honour, particularly for my family background.
History may soon vindicate me when I will tell the full success story as God would have it later on, especially to those that sympathized or may want to sympathize with me, for the way I sincerely write about the achievements of someone very dear to all of us in leadership.
History may soon vindicate me for my honest disposition about Governor Umahi's regime.
I thank God that posterity will tell and I will be blameless later on in life, about the wisdom in my untiring focus on giving credit and kudos to Governor Umahi's excellent works for the good people of Ebonyi State.
Let me have a break here for now, till the next phase of my thinking and writing about the essence of consistency, in giving honour to whom it fits and also to whom it is due.
THE CONSISTENCY STORY CONTINUES FROM PART 1 OF HISTORY AND VINDICATION
Let me tell us that if Governor was not consistent, there could have been nothing great that he will achieve in Ebonyi State.
That's why my consistent good image-making of Governor Umahi's regime in Ebonyi State, which is for a historic purpose will never stop on my part till I die.
No matter how it appears to be in the eyes of people who think, say or do otherwise about it I must be consistent to the best of my knowledge, in giving the needed support, solidarity and steadfast credence to the regime of Governor Umahi.
For continuity of previous memory of great events of historic purposes, which can never stop either in my mind or thoughts, or in the consistent deposits to my account, and to a larger extent also is that I will never forget His Excellency, Chief Martin Nwancho Elechi.
He accorded my Late elder brother Chief Benson Egede the deserved honour and respect, by giving him recognition as a Founding father, remembered him as a foremost financier of the project of the creation of Ebonyi State, regarded him as a very great logistics provider at that time and rewarded him as a liberally minded contributor of material requirements during the time, amongst others who had a part to play in the creation of Ebonyi State.
His Excellency, Chief Martin Nwancho Elechi also gave my Late elder brother a befitting greenlight burial at death.
He gave us a good name that has a good language meaning to a sacrificial lambs family of philanthropy, which is far better than getting a gibberish one of monumental and meaningless politics of self-centeredness.
His Excellency, Chief Martin Nwancho Elechi made a good name for the Founding fathers of Ebonyi State in Nigeria.
He is an exemplary consistent personality, a leader with bold indelible handwriting on the big wall of incorruptible history.
His principles about being very consistent are superb, which lessons we can also learn from Governor Umahi today in Ebonyi State.
Governor Umahi is having such principles in remembering the Founding fathers and also not forgetting to put together the Elders Council group, for a better Advisory future for the incoming generations of Ebonyi State to maintain consistency.
Consistency is not like doing things overmuch but demands that a journey, which has been started must be carried out to the designated last point, no matter the harsh challenges involved on the way ahead.
Governor Umahi with all the heavy economic and political challenges has consistently been braving through the odds, with what it takes to win the battles in front of him.
I have also learnt much about being consistent to an extent that nobody can stop me, except God who owns the supreme power to do so.
That's why the bible sighted anyone who shall abide in the LORD'S Tabernacle, saying in the book of Proverbs chapter 15 verse 4b, that it is "He that sweareth to his hurt and changeth not."
Another place of the bible in the book of Saint Luke chapter 18 verse 1 says; "And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint." This passage talks about regularity, pressure and consistency in doing good things relentlessly which could yield better dividends at last.
It is good to make good use of certain opportunities, even if it is in writing to defeat the evil of destructive criticisms against a popular constructive regime.
That's what I am doing now about how the regime of Governor Umahi has been consistent in developing Ebonyi State, not minding the pressing distractions here and there.
No leader has ever provoked me to be in such a desirable, consistent and regular mood, to freely give my honest support and solidarity to a regime as Governor Umahi has done.
To God is the glory forever.
