Egede Lawrence on media assessment of riches and poverty in the world jots down.
Let's talk about more serious issues about life in the interest of everyone because the world is in a fix of self-destruction.
It may surprise you to begin to wonder what I mean here concerning a poor person, who is rich and making people rich.
It is just that not everyone seen as poor is poor, so that the realities will find out those who could be regarded as poor, but can contribute a lot to the riches of others who are lacking in times of need.
I'm not aware if people know that the person they assess as poor, could be a good source of blessings for them to become rich. That's the question here.
When we look at the title here above, it is like finding an increase in riches, from where nothing is to write home about poverty.
It is like a puzzle, a wonder, a parable of the incapability to give help to others, determined by a mere poor outlook but rich and capable to enrich others.
It is a wonderful issue about how God does His things, concerning riches and poverty.
I have read many books that people wrote, but I have never seen any book like the Bible.
The unbelievers of the Bible have tried to close the book but couldn't, yet they go back to it.
Everyone at times unknowingly lives by the word of God, which is the way of truth and light in the world, with several doubting Thomases lacking knowledge.
Doubting Thomases lacking knowledge can't see beyond their nostrils in the relationship between riches and poverty.
They can't see beyond their imaginations in the relationship between hunger and bread, as it concerns the wonders of God.
The biblical book of Saint Matthew chapter 4 verses 3 & 4 talked of the temptation which Jesus Christ faced by the devil, when he was hungry after forty days and forty nights of fasting and praying in the wilderness.
I refer to a situation where want is facing the temptation of scarcity, through trials which produce a rich answer later.
It was reported in verse 3 saying; "And when the tempter came to him; he said if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread."
Verse 4 quoted thus: "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God."
The unbelievers of the word of God talk about the increase of physical riches of bread to live by it. That's their first concern.
But believers in Spirit, by the word of God, talk about the bread of riches in glory by all standards
It is not just the carnal bread in nature, but divine in its origin of increase and quality, qualifying it as the best option to take and live, with the riches of its best nourishing effects, for healthy growth and prosperity even in a time of lack or scarcity.
In the first place, I agree with Jesus Christ, that despite his riches God became poor so that people could be made rich.
The 2nd book of the Epistle of Apostle Paul to the Corinthians chapter 8 verse 9 says: "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes, he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
This is like having to sacrifice everything to make sure people are made rich with what's available, going by possibilities when it seems that nothing is enough or not quite available.
Who can tell me how many Bank Accounts belonged to Jesus Christ here on earth?
Who can tell me how many mansions Jesus Christ built here on earth, yet he was rich and gave people riches to build their mansions?
Who can remind me of the loaves of bread and few fishes of the miracle of increase, which fed four and five thousand at intervals, and at different times of scarcity, with the seven and twelve baskets full of the leftovers? Jesus Christ did it.
He was a Spirit-made man, with whom miracles took and take place by God, making the people rich by blessing them.
And more than that, at the mention of His name all knees shall bow, in heaven, in earth and under the earth, enriching people with power to prosper.
Does this not indicate that he gives riches by grace to people abundantly more in wealth and at times of famine, drought and scarcity to kill poverty?
Does it not prove that poverty is not because people are not rich, but that no situation stops God from enriching people in poverty with His wealth so that they also enrich many others?
In another place in the book of the same 2nd Corinthians with chapter 6 verse 10, it was said: "As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things."
This is the situation that this report is treating, based on the circumstances that shouldn't be a barrier to prosper others, even when poverty is a threat.
This is the picture of this topic, as we proceed in the attitude of disregard for those assumed to be poor, but still very buoyant.
Such poor but buoyant people are rare to find anywhere, by the unbelievers of the mysteries of God's wonderful performances, which the carnal eyes can never see. It's the power of the Spirit.
A Prophet of God, in the real sense of the Spirit and truth, is rich and a blessing to people.
He carries many blessings that are unknown to people and distributes them accordingly.
He goes about doing good to many at the command of God, to whom all powers expressly belong and from whom every good thing comes into effect.
It is the power given to him by the Spirit of God, with whom all things are possible to go about blessing people, and pleasing God.
Jesus Christ went about many places, too many persons doing good and spreading his riches, and upbraided not in giving out blessings from the abundance of his riches to glorify God but regarded as poor in outlook.
We see riches wrongly and that is the bane of the carnal people in society, disregarding the poor people who are rich in the eyes of God, and also rich in helping other human beings in need of things that could assist them to live, work and prosper.
We can as well ask why some poor people are not rich to help others, even when they become rich. The answer is because of selfishness and wickedness, it's something put aside this topic.
There are other areas of life that this topic can treat with caution, not to include hitches but to go straight to the point.
Even in politics, is it not the poor in the eyes of politicians that are the instruments, or the tools of the campaign, who attract massive votes for the political Contestants to win elections?
But at times they're ignorantly underrated and forgotten, after all said and done in the game.
That's the way we treat fellow human beings, underrating the fact that though they look poor but are rich and unknown to people so that others through them in their poverty can help others to become abundantly rich.
People look at the external riches and features, but forget the internal appearances of the possibility to be rich while poor in outlook, yet making people rich by assisting them at work.
Most of us whom people see as ordinarily poor, but contribute a lot to making others rich in the fruitful increase of the field, of the barn, kine, cattle, pockets, bread and popularity are put in trouble of lacking recognition.
Even when we are recognized it is of little significance in the eyes of people, whose jokes are always richly more successful.
But one thing is sure, we help people to be rich every day but are rare to find in the blind eyes of those getting the increase.
It does mean that the Spiritual assignment of the rich but seen as poor, is to give riches to the gentiles to always prosper in their various fields of industry.
Even in the business markets, is it not the poor ones regarded as nobody, who patronize those that make money and become rich? Life is a great mystery.
In the labour markets, is not those workers not regarded as anything, who work together to boost the industry of profits for those that can become rich?
In the environment of buildings and developments, is it not the poor labourers regarded as non-starters, who work to beautify the places of sophistication?
They make it possible for the affluent to live in utmost luxury and comfort, to appear convincingly to people as rich and capable, and that all is well with them in life.
It isn't easy to see people that go into their closets fasting and praying to God earnestly, for the prosperity of others known and unknown, invoking blessings.
What about those of us, who spend restless days and sleepless nights writing, doing our best and protecting people right before the public, with the riches of our intellectual and Spiritual belonging, wisdom and knowledge, but are regarded as poor and as if we don't exist?
It isn't always easy to notice such rare gems because as I have seen, the people you bless don't know if they prosper, but quickly forget the source from where they were first blessed.
Many people forget God when their riches blind them to thinking they have arrived at the peak.
But the question here is asking if it is very easy to meet a poor person, who is rich and makes people rich. It is a mysterious parable related to riches and poverty, people and drought but in abundance and adequacy.
To God is the glory forever.
