...Decries rising security challenges, hardships in Nigeria states

Following the rising security tensions across the nation, the Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District, Dr Sam Ominyi Egwu has called on the Nigerian Security Agencies to live up to their expectations by addressing the unfortunate situation to guarantee the safety of lives and property of Nigerians in the 2023 general elections.
Senator Egwu who made the call while delivering his New Year Message to Newsmen at his Umuebe country home, Izhia in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, emphasized the need for the present administration to come up with the policies that would guarantee food security, affordable education and job creation for the employment of the teeming youths in the country.
He observed that the cases of insecurity of lives and property in various parts of the country are posing severe threats to the forthcoming general elections, adding that the 2023 general elections hold much about the survival of Nigeria and should not be toyed with.
Emphasizing the general hardship ravaging the country, Senator Egwu who served as the first Executive Governor of Ebonyi State noted with regret that Nigerians have experienced many difficult situations under the current administration and challenged the Government at all levels to come up with policies and programs that will guarantee food security, quality and affordable education and provide jobs for teeming unemployed youths.
The Federal Lawmaker called on leaders to be selfless in providing leadership to the populace as that is the only way to serve right.
He used the occasion to advise his constituents to imbibe the virtues of love, peace, unity, hard work, patriotism and sincerity of purpose in this new year to collectively contribute to nation-building.
Senator Egwu assured them of sustained quality representation at the Senate in the areas of Empowerment, Constituency Projects, relevant bills and motions etc and expressed the hope that the people of Ebonyi North Senatorial District will continue to support him even as he presents himself once again to represent them at the Senate in 2023 general elections.
He said that 2023 is promising to be a better year for Nigeria and called on all the citizens of the country to avoid any venture that will truncate the fortune the new year holds for us.
