Joy knew no bounds, Friday at Amikeaba in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State Capital as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) known as Akunna Foundation for the Vulnerable Widows, Aged and Orphans celebrated Christmas with the less privileged persons in the state.
The founder of the humanitarian foundation, Comrade Okey Fortuna Akunna, said that the occasion is held every year to give hope to vulnerable persons which included aged widows, orphans and disabled people.

Mrs Okeh disclosed that the foundation has lasted over eleven years with a focus to give hope to the hopeless, especially the downtrodden in society.
While distributing wrappers, rice, stationery, bowels and buckets to the less privileged people numbering over 500 with a light refreshment as a way of celebrating this year's Christmas ceremony with them, she urged the beneficiaries to anchor their hope on God and live an exemplary life in rendering services to humanity.
Mrs Okeh expressed optimism that the foundation would increase the number of its beneficiaries by 2023 as she prayed for God's protection and blessings upon the people especially the poor of the poorest in the state and beyond.
This year's event was attended by many guests from different places who sent their messages of hope to the beneficiaries of the foundation and commended largely the foundation's humanitarian outreaches.
Highlights of the occasion were the presentation of gifts to the beneficiaries by the founder, Mrs Fortunate Okeh, with prayers offered to her and the beneficiaries of the foundation, music entertainment and dancing during the occasion.
Recall that the founder of this foundation, Mrs Fortunate Okeh has built two skills acquisition centres for the aged widows, orphans and disabled persons in Ebonyi State.
