---Doles out cash, foods, other relief items
From Amauche Agbo, Abakaliki
As the world celebrated this year's Christmas to mark the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, a business mogul who is a philanthropist in Ebonyi State Hon. Nkiruka Iganga has graciously celebrated with less privileged persons located opposite St. Theresa Abakaliki and Orphanages at Office Nkah in the spirit of Christmas celebration.
Speaking at the event, Iganga said she was motivated to celebrate with people to give them a sense of belongings in this yuletide season.
Hon. Iganga who earlier aspired to represent Izzi West Constituency in the State House of Assembly come 2023, noted she always felt pains seeing her fellow human beings suffering the way those persons are suffering and pledged to continue interfacing with the people to make their lives better in the society.
While frowning on the state condition of the people, Iganga said helping the poor people had been her dream from childhood, while praying to God for his intervention to the people to enable them to be useful in society.
According to her, "I cherished helping the poor and the needy, helping the poor and the needy has always been in me. I am here today to support them by making sure all of them are in a happy mood"
"It is not all about eating big food, dressing well or having millions in your account. It is about remembering the less privileged, orphanages and the downtrodden. I intend to make sure that all of them celebrate this Christmas joyfully and I am praying that one day God will make them wake up and still decide to help others just like the way I have come to do today"
"Also my prayer is for Government to help them and clean their lives and provide job opportunities for them"
However, Iganga Challenged Government at all levels, well-spirited individuals to rise to their responsibilities by assisting the people to ameliorate sufferings.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to our correspondent after receiving the items including Mr Nte Chukwu, Mrs Maria Nwalem, Mr Ugo Nwamini as well as Mrs Justina Iboko, thanked the benefactor for remembering them and prayed God to replenish her in hundredfold.
