...Expresses passion for a new Nigeria
From Victor Nwegede, Abakaliki
Following his passion for the actualization of a new Nigeria come 2023 general elections, the Labour Party (LP) Candidate for Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency, Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh on Wednesday, extended his Pre-elections public engagements to the Association of Nigerian Priests of Abakaliki Diocese (ANPAD).

Speaking during the Association's Congress, which was held in quick succession to the Pastoral Visit of the Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki, Most Rev. Dr Peter Nworie Chukwu, at Christ The King Parish Nkalagu, Ezeh expressed gratitude to the Priests for their efforts so far in sensitizing the people about the ongoing Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) distribution by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2023 elections.
According to a press release issued by Louis Nwebonyi, the Director of Media and Publicity of the Immaculate Grassroot Movement (Ifegachi Nigeria), Ezeh encouraged them not to relent in pressing on the masses the dire need for active participation in the 2023 electoral processes, noting that in most cases, especially in the hinterlands, the Priests are the people's foremost rallying point for social and moral support or education.
Dr Ezeh maintained that the Catholic Priests, even in their need to maintain political neutrality, remain veritable stakeholders in the ongoing Movement for a New Nigeria.
In reaction, the Chairman of ANPAD, Rev. Fr. Okoroagha appreciated Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh popularly known by his sobriquet 'Immaculate' for finding time to be with them and further reassured him of their constant commitment to the common good in the Society.
