Ebonyi gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Francis Nwifuru has promised to build a cement factory in Ebonyi Local Government Area of the state if emerged victorious at the 11th March governorship election.
Nwifuru who is the incumbent Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly pledged this on Tuesday during the APC Statewide Local Government Campaign at Ugbodo, the Ebonyi Council headquarters.
He assured of the building at least a cement factory in the Ishieke axis of the Ebonyi Council Area that can produce one metric ton per hour in the earlier period of his first tenure if elected governor to reduce youth unemployment.
“We have the raw materials here in Ebonyi Local Government Area. The limestone lies from Edomia Ishieke in Ebonyi LGA to Achara village in Agbaja Community in Izzi LGA," the APC governorship candidate said.
He also promised to consolidate on infrastructural development agenda of the incumbent governor of the state, David Umahi, by embarking on rural development especially road construction and agricultural practice advancement.
“Engr David Umahi has done well in the State and I'm going to consolidate on his giant strides and do more," he assured.
The State APC Chairman, Stanley Okoro Emegha cautioned the suspected rivals of the APC who are responsible for the destruction of the billboards of its party candidates to stop the act, as no mercy would be shown to the perpetrators when caught.
While calling on Ebonyi citizens to remain focused in their support of APC, Emegha urged them to vote for all the candidates contesting under the APC umbrella in the 25th February and March 11th 2023 General Elections.
