Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Wife of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State Chief (Mrs) Umahi has charged women, especially the stakeholders to engage in a door-to-door campaign for the victory of the All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Candidate Chief Francis Nwifuru and other APC candidates in the State.
Mrs Umahi gave the charge during the APC campaign rally at Onicha Local Government Area Headquarters, Isu.
The Governor's Wife who commended Umuekumenyi for supporting the present administration during the 2015 and 2019 political struggles, disclosed that Ohanivo people are ever ready to support the Gubernatorial rotation in Ebonyi State.
She called on Ohanivo women to vote for her husband Engr. David Umahi to represent Ebonyi South Senatorial zone at the green chambers, adding that he would not disappoint them if voted into power.
The Director-General, divine mandate campaign council women wing, Mrs Catherine Ogbu and the APC Gubernatorial running mate, Princess Patricia Obila while stressing that women are the best administrators, enjoined men to allow them to assist in transforming the State.
They called on Women to perform creditably during the 2023 general elections to give victory to all the APC candidates in Ebonyi State.
Earlier in their remarks, some of the female stakeholders including Mrs Elizabeth Onwe and Mrs Roseline Obasi Nwode assured that women of the Council would not leave any stone unturned in ensuring the victory of the party.
Among the support groups that attended the rally included Rachel Umahi Women for Akubaroha, David Umahi for Senate, Women in Mining, Market Women, and Coalition of Women in politics among others.
In a related development, the Wife of Ebonyi Ebonyi State Governor Chief (Mrs) Rachel Umahi has urged the people of Umuekumenyi and Ebonyi State, in general, to vote massively for the Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC Chief Francis Nwifuru for consolidation and continuity of the lofty achievements of the present administration in the State under the watch of his Excellency Engr. David Umahi in the interest of the citizens.
Mrs Umahi who Stated this at Exilo the Headquarters of Ishielu Local Government Area during the APC campaign rally, described Chief Nwifuru as a tested and trusted son of the Izzi clan chosen by God and charged all and sundry to go and collect their PVCs and vote massively to him and others APC candidates to enable them to emerge victorious at the polls.
However, Mrs Umahi who attributed the success of Engr. David Umahi in the 2015 and 2019 governorship elections in Ebonyi State to the massive support of the Izzi clan and Umuekumenyi people in general, called on the people of Ebonyi South Zone to remain supportive of the candidature of the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Chief Francis Nwifuru to enable him to succeed Governor Umahi in office.
