The Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr David Nweze Umahi has made a new appointment in Ebonyi State-owned tertiary institutions.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kenneth Ugbala announced this Sunday.
According to Ugbala, the State government has approved the reappointment of Professor Chigozie Ogbo and Professor Eugene Nweke as the Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics of the Ebonyi State University, EBSU Abakaliki.
Also appointed as the principal officers of the State University are Professor Eucharia Chika Nwafor - Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration, Professor Petrus Ibekwe - Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Mr Jeremiah Nwangbo - Registrar, Mr Anthony Isu - Bursar, and Mrs Veronica Nwali - EBSU Librarian.
In Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo, the governor appointed Prof. Benedict Mbam as the Provost, as Mrs Chinyere Ayama emerged as the Registrar of the institution.
Other appointees were Dr Flora Okogwu and Felicia Alusi as the Bursar and Librarian of the State College of Education.
All the appointees, according to Ugbala will be sworn in at the Ebonyi State Executive Council Chamber, Centenary City, Ochudo on Monday 13th February 2023 by 1 pm prompt.
