Late Mrs Patricia Anasi.
Governor Francis Nwifuru has commiserated with the family of the late Clerk of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Mrs Patricia Anasi and encouraged them to see the development as the will of God by striving to bear the loss with candour.
Governor Nwifuru in a press release by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr Monday Uzor described the sudden death of the Clerk as a monumental loss to the State.
The governor while consoling the family members of late Mrs Anasi, prayed for the repose of her soul in the Lord.
"As a government, we can never forget her meritorious services, therefore I encourage the offsprings to take consolation in the life of honour your late mother lived and exert efforts to sustain her enduring legacies," Nwifuru asserted.
He said the deceased Clerk concentrated her energy and grit on public service which led to evident productivity and steady progress of the the State Assembly.
The governor noted that with the death of the Clerk, the State Assembly and Ebonyi State have lost an apostle of due process and good governance.
He said the late Mrs Anasi was a well-groomed technocrat whose wealth of experience will be greatly missed by the state and humanity.
"When I presided over the Assembly as Speaker, I had a robust working relationship with her. Her keen intellect and tireless efforts were largely instrumental to the success we recorded. She was a good team player who never compromised quality.
"She was like a mother to us which is why I consider her death as devastating and an irreparable loss not only to the immediate family but to those of us who came across her while she lived," he hinted.
