Comrade Chinedu Ogah, a two-term member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency.
The visit of Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru represented by the Deputy Governor, Princess Patricia Obila to Ikwo LGA for the official flag-off of the forthcoming Council Election in the State was to many a carnival that brought all political bigwigs from Ikwo Noyo Clan and beyond.
The overwhelming crowd and supporters of Governor Nwifuru and the APC in Ebonyi State were seen by many as a roll call of the Governor's real footsoilders in Ikwo LGA.
One of the issues that got the attention of people at the event was the absence of the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, and his supporters at the mother of all rallies in the history of the State and Ikwo LGA in particular.
His absence has sparked reactions among political watchers in the State.
Respondents who spoke to journalists at the rally wondered why the Federal lawmaker missed the event despite being at home on that day.
Others alleged that Comrade Ogah's absence at the rally was a public announcement that he was not in support of the second term bid of the Council Chairman, Barr Sunday Basil Nwankwo, and that there seem to be silent camps among APC in the area, which his absence at the event has exposed.
Some stakeholders who spoke on condition of anonymity alleged that Comrade Ogah was simply not happy that his plan to install a candidate from his political camp was not supported by the State Governor and major Stakeholders of Ikwo who were unanimous that the current Council Boss has performed excellently in his first term and deserves a second term.
They held that the action of the federal lawmaker was not healthy for political gladiators like him in one political party.
The people called on all major stakeholders of APC in Ikwo LGA, especially Comrade Ogah to close ranks, work with the Council Boss for the development of Ikwo Noyo Clan, and help the party achieve success in the 2027 elections.
Meanwhile, efforts to reach Comrade Chinedu Ogah and the Chairman of the Council, Hon.
