Addressing journalists in Abakaliki, Mr. Egbe highlighted the governor’s achievements across multiple sectors, emphasizing their impact on the lives of residents.
“There is no doubt that Governor Nwifuru has made significant contributions to the development of Ebonyi State,” he said. “His administration has prioritized road infrastructure, benefiting all thirteen local government areas and fostering peace in crisis-prone communities.”
Among the initiatives Mr. Egbe praised were the provision of duplexes for traditional rulers and the construction of a 2.5-kilometer concrete pavement road, which has improved connectivity between various communities.
He also pointed to job creation efforts, including the establishment of the Ebonyi Industrial City Clusters aimed at empowering young people through industrialization and economic growth.
“The governor has excelled in areas such as commerce and industry, power and energy, solid minerals, and the development of the capital city,” Mr. Egbe added.
Highlighting housing development efforts, Mr. Egbe cited the completion of a 170-unit residential estate for the Izzo and Ameze Autonomous Community, ready for commissioning.
He also referenced a major infrastructure project—the 22-kilometer Ezillo-Iyonu and Ezzagu-Enugu road—which had previously been notorious for criminal activity. According to Mr. Egbe, the road’s completion is expected to boost security and enhance accessibility for residents.
In addition to infrastructure, Mr. Egbe praised the governor’s commitment to civil servants. He lauded the prompt payment of gratuities dating back to 1996 and the recruitment of over 500 medical doctors, as well as substantial salary increments raising monthly earnings to 500,000 naira.
Mr. Egbe called on stakeholders and citizens to support the administration’s efforts, stressing that sustained collaboration is essential for the state’s continued growth.
As Ebonyi State anticipates further developments under Governor Nwifuru’s leadership, Mr. Egbe’s endorsement underscores the positive direction of the administration’s work.
