Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has extended warm greetings to the Muslim community as they mark this year’s Eid-al-Adha celebration.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, the Governor described the season as one of deep reflection, sacrifice, gratitude, and renewed commitment to peace, compassion, and unity.
He urged Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and adhere to the teachings of Allah, especially during such spiritually significant times.
"Eid-al-Adha reminds us of the strength of faith, the power of self-discipline, and above all, the importance of caring for one another, especially the less privileged among us," Governor Nwifuru stated.
He further encouraged the Muslim faithful to uphold values of tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence, noting that such virtues are vital for the progress and unity of both the state and the nation.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusiveness, the Governor said: “Our administration remains committed to building a united, secure, and prosperous Ebonyi State, where people of all faiths can live in harmony and pursue their aspirations without fear or discrimination.”
