announced that its highly anticipated National Convention will take place from August 28 to 30, 2025, in Kano, Kano State.
Described by party leaders as a “footprint for ultimate recovery,” the convention aims to unite members, rejuvenate party structures, and lay the groundwork for reclaiming Nigeria’s future.
In a press statement, the party said the convention would serve as a springboard for national unity and an opportunity to realign its policies with the aspirations of Nigerians.
“The convention underscores the PDP’s unwavering commitment to restoring economic stability, fostering national unity, and rebuilding trust in governance,” the statement read.
As Nigeria grapples with economic challenges, insecurity, and weakened democratic institutions under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the PDP expressed its determination to offer a transformative agenda focused on inclusive growth, security, and equitable opportunities.
The convention will feature the election of new national leadership, deliberation on critical policy frameworks, and discussions on the party’s “Recovery Blueprint” — a plan to address economic hardship, youth unemployment, and infrastructure deficits.
Party stakeholders have urged all members nationwide to actively participate in the convention and its preparatory activities, emphasizing that unity and engagement are crucial to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, and secure Nigeria.
