Senator Kenneth Emeka Eze has emerged as the frontrunner for the 2027 Ebonyi Central Senatorial seat following a sweeping endorsement by constituents, traditional rulers, and political stakeholders, citing his impressive track record and grassroots connection.
The endorsement came during the 2025 Oke-Aku (New Yam) festival and an agricultural empowerment programme held Monday at his country home in Ohainya Amagu, Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
At the event, which attracted over 1,000 farmers and key stakeholders from across the senatorial zone, Senator Eze distributed certified rice seedlings, fertilizers, herbicides, improved seeds, and livestock—aligning with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope agenda and Governor Francis Nwifuru’s People’s Charter of Needs to boost food security and rural livelihoods.
In a strong royal declaration, HRH Eze Oliver Eze Awoke Omaka III of Ekka Awoke Ancient Kingdom described Senator Eze’s second term as “non-negotiable.”
"We are standing by Senator Eze because he has proven to be a leader who listens and delivers. His second term is sacrosanct,” the monarch affirmed.
Also speaking, Hon. Alophius Nwali, Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who represented the state party chairman, echoed strong party support: "Senator Eze is a bold symbol of credible leadership at the National Assembly. We are proud of him.”
Former federal lawmaker, Chief Lazarus Ogbee, lauded Eze’s result-oriented approach, while Dr. Livinus Ezeuwa, Secretary of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), called him “a trusted leader who has touched lives.”
“One good turn deserves another,” Ezeuwa added.
Farmers and youth leaders who benefitted from the empowerment programme also pledged their support.
“This is real leadership,” said Samuel Nkwuda, a beneficiary.
“He has empowered us to farm and survive. We will stand by him in 2027," he further stated.
With this broad wave of endorsements and widespread grassroots acceptance, political observers have declared that Senator Kenneth Emeka Eze is firmly positioned as the leading candidate for Ebonyi Central in the upcoming 2027 senatorial elections.
