A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has taken a swipe at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, cautioning him against arrogating to himself the powers of God over the political destiny of former Transport Minister, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
Reacting to Wike’s recent remarks implying that Amaechi’s political career is over, Eze described the statement as arrogant, baseless, and an affront to divine will.
“Wike is not God. He cannot decide the future of Amaechi. No amount of blackmail or noise can alter what God has destined. The same Amaechi he insults is the man who moulded and launched his political relevance,” Eze fired in a statement released in Port Harcourt.
He accused Wike of parading himself with unchecked ego and speaking with finality, as if he possesses supernatural authority to determine who rises or falls in politics.
According to Eze, Wike's comments during the commissioning of roads in the Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT—where he mockingly suggested Amaechi won’t return to power—were not only provocative but reeked of fear and insecurity.
Eze, a member of the APC Legacy Projects Media Team and former spokesman of the defunct nPDP, insisted that Amaechi remains a strong political force who will bounce back alongside other progressive democrats.
“The coalition to rescue Nigeria in 2027 is not about Amaechi alone. Targeting him with hate only shows how frightened Wike has become. He knows the ADC-led coalition has rattled the ruling elite,” he said.
Eze further slammed the Tinubu administration, describing it as a monumental failure that has disappointed the expectations of Nigerians. He pointed to the worsening economic hardship and rising insecurity as signs that the government has lost direction.
“Tinubu may have achieved personal success in business, but in governance, he has failed woefully. His leadership has left Nigerians disillusioned and impoverished,” Eze stated.
He accused Wike of acting as an "attack dog" for the presidency, while desperately trying to erase the political footprints of Amaechi.
“Wike’s alliance with Tinubu is unholy. But even that will not save them. The ghost of the emergency rule they created in Rivers will continue to haunt them.”
Eze declared that Nigerians will hold both Tinubu and Wike accountable in 2027 and vowed that no rigging machinery or judicial compromise will stop the people's verdict.
“INEC and the courts were compromised in 2023, but come 2027, Nigerians will rise. Wike should close his mouth and stop playing God,” he warned.
The APC chieftain concluded by urging the electorate to prepare for a true democratic change, declaring that the days of intimidation, manipulation, and political deceit are numbered.
