The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide, has emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence between the Igede people and their host communities in the state.
He made the call during a courtesy visit by the Ad’Igede One in Ogun, Chief Samuel Onwuna, and his delegation at the Assembly complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Commending the Igede community for their cordial relationship with other residents, Elemide urged them to uphold peace, harmony, and respect for the culture of their hosts while embracing Ogun as their home.
In his remarks, Chief Onwuna hailed the people of Ogun as one of the most accommodating in the country and praised the Speaker and Assembly members for resolving recent leadership issues within the Igede community. He also sought the legislature’s continued support for the group’s developmental activities.
