The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State on Rice Mill Affairs and Manager of Ebonyi Rice World, Ikwo branch, Hon. Abel Uzodimma Nwozaka (FIPMD), has awarded scholarships to outstanding pupils of Holy Family International Academy, Odeligbo Okpuitumo, Abakaliki LGA, in recognition of their academic excellence.
The announcement was made during the school's annual graduation ceremony, held at Odeligbo Junction in the Okpuitumo community. The scholarship covers their transition into the secondary school section.
In addition to the scholarships, Hon. Nwozaka donated writing materials and an undisclosed amount of cash to the school, reaffirming his commitment to supporting education and community development.
He commended the school's proprietor, Evangelist Hyacient Akata, and the teaching staff for their dedication to providing quality education, urging them to continue in that direction for the benefit of the children and society at large.
Speaking at the event, the Governor’s aide emphasized the importance of education, describing it as the bedrock of any progressive society. He encouraged parents to invest in their children’s education and ensure they are enrolled in good schools.
Nwozaka also used the opportunity to rally support for Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s reelection bid in 2027, praising his developmental strides across the state.
“I urge the people of Odeligbo Okpuitumo to continue supporting the good works of His Excellency, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru. Come 2027, let us vote him back to complete his developmental mission. We stand on 4+4 = 8,” he declared.
The graduation ceremony featured various presentations, including Igbo news and a welcome song performed by the pupils.
Nwozaka was accompanied to the event by his aides and friends.
