Rev. Sister Annastasia Kinse, who recently stirred controversy with claims that some Catholic priests were exploiting female religious members, says she has been officially dismissed from her congregation.
In a statement released to the public, Kinse revealed that she received a dismissal letter dated July 21, 2025, from the Congregation of Mother of Perpetual Help of the Archangels Sisters.
According to her, the enforcement of the dismissal was carried out on September 24.
She disclosed that she was given a token of ₦100,000 upon dismissal, while her personal belongings had already been packed outside her convent room.
Her religious habit, which symbolizes her membership of the order, was also retrieved.
“I pulled the one I had on and submitted it as well. Therefore, I am currently not in possession of any property of the Congregation,” Kinse wrote.
Despite the dismissal, she maintained her commitment to her faith and expressed gratitude to those who have supported her.
“From my heart, I sincerely thank everyone who has stood by me in prayer and encouragement through this time. Your love and support mean more than words can express. I am a Catholic, and I love my Church! Above all, I place my trust in God, whose throne can never be shaken and who never abandons His own.”
The development comes weeks after her controversial revelations alleging misconduct within the Catholic clergy went viral online, sparking mixed reactions among faithful and church critics alike.
The Catholic Church has yet to issue an official response regarding Kinse’s dismissal and the allegations she raised.
