In a show of grassroots development and loyalty, the Coordinator of Ngbo Central Development Centre in Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Mrs. Blessing Adagba, has rolled out a catalogue of completed community projects under her leadership, while drumming up support for the reelection of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in 2027.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday during an interactive session at the Development Centre headquarters, Mrs. Adagba highlighted a series of strategic interventions she has spearheaded since assuming office, the initiatives she described as both people-centered and aligned with the People’s Charter of Needs, the policy mantra of the Nwifuru-led administration.
“When I assumed office, the headquarters of our development centre was in a dilapidated state. I could not fold my arms. We swiftly renovated the building replacing the ceilings, fixing iron protectors, repainting the entire structure and most importantly, we graded a 3km stretch of road to improve access for our people,” she stated.
Beyond infrastructure, Adagba revealed that over 200 students have benefited from bursary support under her leadership to strengthen educational development in the community.
She also empowered over 200 indigent women with essential palliatives to cushion economic hardship.
In a significant boost to the community's healthcare system, the Coordinator established a new primary health centre, which she named Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru Hospital, in honour of the First Lady of Ebonyi State.
Additionally, the community now enjoys improved utilities with the repair of a major electrical transformer and the drilling of two functional boreholes, addressing long-standing issues of water scarcity and electricity in the area.
Adagba emphasized that these achievements are reflections of the enabling leadership environment created by Governor Nwifuru, describing him as "a visionary leader whose policies are felt even in the remotest corners of the state."
“Governor Nwifuru doesn’t need to campaign in Ngbo Central. His performance speaks volumes here. Our people know who stands for their welfare.
"I urge every eligible voter to get their PVCs ready. Come 2027, we will return him to the Government House with overwhelming votes,” she declared.
She further assured residents of sustained peace and security in the area, pledging to continue implementing state policies and ensuring that democratic dividends remain within reach for every household in Ngbo Central.
“My mission is to step down His Excellency’s programs and deliver development that transforms lives. We are building a community where no one is left behind,” Adagba concluded.
