The Chairman of the Ebonyi State Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Virginia O. Oketa, has reaffirmed her commitment to promoting transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in the state’s public service.
Mrs. Oketa made the pledge while receiving executive members of the Life Membership Committee of the Catholic Women Organisation (CWO), Abakaliki Diocese, who paid her a courtesy visit at the Commission’s headquarters in Centenary City, Abakaliki.
She assured civil servants that her administration would be anchored on transparency, resilience, and accessibility.
The Commission, according to her, has commenced harmonisation of personnel records and has put in place measures to digitalise the records of all civil servants in the state.
She appealed to stakeholders to continue supporting Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s administration, in line with his People’s Charter of Needs agenda.
In her remarks, the President of the Life Membership Committee, Lady Franca Ekwutosi Egwu, commended Mrs. Oketa for her commitment to service and urged her to maintain her virtues of integrity, humility, and resilience. She noted that the visit was to congratulate and pray for the Chairman, as well as to express the committee’s solidarity.
Also speaking, Chief Lady Ifeoma Esele prayed for divine grace and wisdom for Mrs. Oketa in the discharge of her duties. Delivering a vote of thanks, Prof. Adaeze Nwuzor expressed appreciation for the warm reception and pledged the committee’s continued support for the Commission.
