Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers state has urged the 2025 Batch B Stream II Corps Members deployed to the state, to use the NYSC skills acquisition training undertaken in camp to build their capacities for economic emancipation.
Fubara, gave the charge today when he declared closed, the 2025 Batch B Stream II orientation exercise in the State.
The governor represented by the newly sworn in Secretary to the State Government and Chairman NYSC State Governing Board, Hon. Benibo Anabraba,, enjoined the corps members to embrace skills acquisition wholeheartedly.
"This is to elevate yourselves as wealth creators and employers of labour.
"You should see your mobilisation into the NYSC scheme as a fundamental call to assist people of your host communities, overcome their challenges by executing viable CDS project."
He advised them to always remember they owe themselves, families and the nation, the responsibilities to serve with integrity, honour, dignity, commitment and dedication to duty."
The State Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe passionately appealed to the corps members to use the unique opportunity of the service year to discover their true purposes.
"I encourage you to go into the communities across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state, to embody selfless service, empathy, compassion, and patriotism in serving the people,'.
The colourful closing ceremony witnessed a vibrant, scintillating, and exciting parade and large attendance of dignitaries.
