CESVO) is a Lokoja, Kogi State based international non-state-actor body majored in exposing corruption, promoting ethical leadership, providing ethical education and value orientation of global citizens.
On its annual ethical assessment on the performance of 774 LGAs, and other governmental bodies and agencies in Nigeria for 2021, Ivo LGA of Ebonyi State under the ethical leadership of Chief Onyebuchi O. Ogbadu as the Executive Chairman was chosen among the ethically complied 100 LGAs which Ivo came second in the entire Country.
In line with this merit, CESVO visited Ivo LGA on 23rd of September 2021 and performed the following roles.
1. Presentation of certificate of credence ( credibility) to Ivo LGA.
2. Issuance of ethical leadership conduct compliance certificate to the Executive Chairman of Ivo LGA.
3. Decoration of the Executive Chairman with honourific title of integrity Icon of Nigeria (IION) to be attached to his name.
4. Letter of intent to train 100 officials of Ivo LGA for two days on ethical services.
5. Issuance of professional ethics compliance award to the core management staff of Ivo LGA. The selected core members include, the Vice Chairman, HPM, HOD works, legislative leaders, casher, treasurer and the NULGA Chairman.
The truth is that Ogbadu has done more than any reasonable critics and when I reads critics who pronounce themselves "leadership experts" on the walls and pages of social media, I quickly remembers the edifying words of President Julius Nyerere of the Tanzanian brand of African socialism; "leadership is easier in the eyes of bitter critics and horrid cynics who only see failure from their myopic lenses and nothing else.
But a look at their performances in the little Organizations, Associations, Unions, Groups and even the family they head, you behold a cesspool of failure; a litany of woes".
We have so many of them; holier-than-thou sanctimonious personas and their human "photocopies", littering our political space and emitting brouhaha that only pollute our eardrums.
Prince Salia Musa Musa Yakubu, who is the Executive director of CESVO, made it categorically clear that Ivo LGA under the Leadership of the God given Chairman has a wonderful and amazing administrative transparency with an ethical and credibility clean record so far.
He therefore commended so highly the ethical compliance of the Executive Chairman of Ivo Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Onyebuchi O. Ogbadu.
Ogbadu while thanking the board for the honour, expressed his gratitude and promised not to get tired in doing what is right as God will always direct him.
