If I were a political analyst, I would discuss this seeming political exclusion of South East. If they give presidency to SW and give VP to North, so SE continues to look?
In 1998, they told us Revolution and Rotation were adopted to reduce tension and ensure that every geopolitical zone tastes the presidency (and each state rotates governorship too). The likes of Alex Ekwueme fought for return of Democracy and he was in forefront of the negotiations and the idea of 6 zones.
Those who condemn separatism, Biafra, IPOB the harshest are also same people pushing Biafra to reality by daily disarming the Igbo elites, Igbo intelligentsia but arm the street mobs who want blood and fire over neglect of the zone.
If you return power to a zone that had 8 yrs and next 8 yrs power goes back to the north, how will the Igbo elite face the mobs to agree in one Nigeria?
Guns to stop Biafra or IPOB are okay but after guns, what do you tell the boys? Guns restore normalcy so that reason can win back, but if all the rulers close their eyes to reality and focus on grabbing power, hope you don't wake to find sand in your palm. Power is transient and can kill the holder. Justice seems stronger than gun. True politics is about arming the Igbo elite to prove to the rest that Nigeria is real. Opposite brings opposite effect.
Think about it. Sorry, political analysis is not my area. Those who know better can help my type to understand better. But say it in a way the street people will also understand."
