There are alleged plots on the pipeline to expel the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), NATIONAL PANEL gathered.
Landslide sources revealed that the APC Chieftain has been on a cold war with the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Nweze Umahi since the governor joined the ruling party.
The battle between the two poitical leaders became more tensed and elementarily obvious after the recent ward and local government Congresses of the party held in the state with the camp of the Honourable Minister said to have been sidelined.
It took a petition written by one of the loyalist of the Honourable Minister to cause a revisit of the congress in the Obiozara ward of the minister, a singular move that pissed off the governor and his loyalist.
The foot soldiers of the governor in the Obiozara ward has concluded plans to expel the Honourable Minister from the party.
It was also gathered from a reliable source that the governor is not comfortable with the towering image of the Minister and sees him as a clog in actualizing his Presidential aspiration.
Our sources, however, said, expelling the Honourable Minister is to frustrate and distract his attention from his alleged Presidential ambition.
