The Principal Secretary to the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Emmanuel Obasi has described his Boss, Engr David Nweze Umahi as the best governor in Nigeria among his counterparts.
Obasi stated this in his confirmed social media page, saying that Ebonyi people would celebrate Governor Umahi as a hero after bowing out from office in 2023.
Hear him: "Let me assure you that East, West, North and South, Governor Umahi is the best Governor in Nigeria today. For a man who built new Governors Lodge, new Governors Office, new presidential Lodge, new Executive Council Chamber, New International Market, Brand new University of Medical Sciences, Brand new Industrial Clusters, Brand new Shopping Mall, Brand new Ecumenical Centre, Eleven brand new Flyovers, over 40 brand new Bridges, Brand new Light Tunnel, brand new College of Nursing and Midwifery, Brand new Academy for the Gifted Child, over 1000km Concrete 8inch thickness Roads, Brand new Accident and Emergency Block at FETHA, Brand new Virology Centre at FETHA, Appointed over 2000 Youths into Government as Executive Assistants, Senior Technical Assistants, TAs, Management Committee members etc; empowered over 20,000 youths with between ₦250,000 and ₦5,000,000, women with between ₦250,000 and ₦1,500,000, widows with between ₦100,000 to ₦250,000, civil servants with between ₦200,000 and ₦500,000; consistently paid workers Monthly salaries promptly, gave over 500 brand new Jeeps to Exco members, traditional rulers, religious leaders and senior citizens etc, Built Brand new Ebonyi International Airport, brand new Governor's Lodge in Abuja, Brand new Office of Wife of Governor, Brand new Chapel, brand new Vocational Centre, Brand new Pulverisation Plant, plans to recruit over 20,000 youths into the State Civil Service starting with 7,000, plans to start University of Aeronautic Engineering and University of ICT, Science and Technology etc etc, with the least Federal Allocation and meagre IGR, Governor Umahi stands tall above his contemporaries, past and present.
"Every Ebonyi person who is not proud of Governor Umahi is not proud of his or her heritage. The problem we have is that we think that one person or administration can solve all the problems of the people, yet individually we cannot solve all our personal problems.
"When Gov. Umahi leaves office in 2023, Ebonyians will celebrate him as a hero!"
