Interacting with newsmen, the State Administrator of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, Abakaliki Chapter, Engr Donatus Uche, said the procession was divine revelation by the father of the religion group, Olumba Olumba.
"The most Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu directed His faithful children in Ebonyi State to celebrate Love and Unity Feast amongst themselves to avert dangers coming to the state," he said.
He noted that the security architecture of the state has been highjacked by hoodlums, and expressed fear over alleged evil men assembling to take Ebonyi State unaware by rendering futile many government infrastructures and human lives.
"Except the Brotherhood embarks on this feast and procession, a great number of lives and property will be lost," the state Administrator said.
Uche further stated that when the revelation was handed down to the religion group, the members sent messages across government authourities to know their preparedness against the impeding dangers, saying these made them to embark on a solemn procession, believing God will avert the situation.
He called Ebonyi State government to support the movement by preaching peace, love and showing care to the needy especially the indigent persons.
Also speaking at the event, the Blessed Mother Bright Essu Joseph, said that the objective of the procession was to ensure women portray attitudes of peace, love, unity among their folks in the state.
She said that evil men would have wiped out the state but aborted their plans following the peace building processes carried by the government in power and called for a continuous of such event that promotes unity among Ebonyi citizens and South East at large.
The Blessed Mother, recalled that by June 27th 2021, there was serious war which would have taken place in the state capital but later averted due to their prayers, feast and processions.
She lamented intolerable heights of insecurity in the South-East region of Nigeria.
"Media reports have it that Security men, especially Police personnel, police stations, private houses, government infrastructures, vehicles are being set ablaze in the past one year. So, there is compulsory sit-at-home every Monday allegedly ordered by Easter Security Network, alongside with Indigenous Peoples of Biafra IPOB," she observed.
She also noted: "Last month, the most Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu directed His faithful children in Ebonyi State to celebrate Love and Unity Feast amongst themselves to wage war against unknown gunmen .
"This was done with fanfare and there were many personality, guests, the media and brethren who partook of the feast.
"It was revealed during the celebration, because of the obedience, that the calamity which would have struck in Abakaliki State Capital, has been taken away.
"After some days at night, the people of Izhi in Benue State, not far from Abakaliki, were attacked which claimed many lives and property.
"Recall that many bodies brought to Abakaliki and the hospitals and mortuaries were not enough to accommodate the affected victims.
"Few days ago, on Friday 22nd October 2021, another revelation was made once more to further direct that the Brotherhood in Ebonyi should proceed on a solemn procession round the state capital to avert imminent mayhem and calamity.
"As the God always instructed that His disciples be ever ready and residents, the Brotherhood instructors swung into action, all who and who were fully in attendance to witness this great opportunity," she said.
She therefore, advised the members of Brotherhood to be serious with their religion activities and always work according to the God's revelation to restore peace and unity across the nation.
