The National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Comrade Chris Isiguzo, has been adopted by the Ebonyi State Chapter of the union for second term.
The members of Ebonyi State Chapter of NUJ led by Comrade Tony Nwizi adopted Isiguzo as their consensus candidate for second term at Dr Sam Egwu Press Centre, Abakaliki town.
Speaking during the event, Comrade Tony Nwizi said the endorsement by his members was based on Mr Isiguzo's past antecedents.
Nwizi assured Isiguzo and his team of his full support in ensuring the state and entire South East delivered their delegates in his favour.
The National President, Isiguzo, has thanked the Ebonyi members of the union for their solidarity and patience when visited the state to seek their support.
He urged them to continue giving him support by renewing their mandate as to consolidate on the laudable strides made in the last three years in office.
Iziguzo while presenting his manifesto boasted that the union has regain its lost glory due to the prudent management of affairs of the union but however, pledged to uphold the trust reposed on him if reelected.
He expressed readiness to make the union more formidable, as he pointed out that his administration has done a lot in the area of the members' welfare and unveiled his administration's plans to attract more goodies for the elevation of the body.
