Senator Emmanuel Onwe, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain has said that the forces that would restore democracy in Ebonyi PDP are determined than ever to do so.
Onwe who represented Ebonyi Central Senatorial zone in the National Assembly and a former Commissioner for Information and Orientation in the state said this in Abakaliki while reacting to the just concluded state congress of the party.
Onwe said that the frying pan to fire syndrome in the party was still in existence which was not in its interests.
"I am however optimistic that the anti-democratic forces within the party would be defeated.
He described the conduct if the state congress as a disgrace, noting that such would ultimately be rectified.
"The forces that would restore democracy in the party are determined more than ever to do so," he hinted.
The senator noted that people who think that democracy and consensus are the wills of strongmen would be disappointed.
