A successful businessman from Enyigba community in Abakaliki Local Government Council, Mr. Friday Itumo Nwali, in his usual manner of philanthropic gestures, has added smiles on the faces of the less privileged as he celebrated this year's Christmas in a grand style with his people.
Mr. Itumo Nwali whose love for humanity knows no bound, was seen wearing joyous mood in the early hours of 25th December at his home compound, Ishiagu Enyigba, distributing all kinds of valuable materials and exchanging pleasantries with his people who were gathered in their numbers to felicitate and to receive Christmas gifts from the cheerful giver.
The successful businessman who has been known and highly revered for his positive impacts in the lives of others, stressed the need for remembering the less privileged, noting that one must not live in an affluence before extending generosity to others, adding that he finds it pleasurable when he causes others to smile especially the less advantaged in the society.
He pledged his commitment in helping the poor and the vulnerable, and also promised never to depart from the path of assisting the youths to become self reliant.
In her words, the mother of the benefactor, Mrs. Felicia Nwambe, expressed gratitude to God for his blessings upon her family and for making her son to be reckoned for good, and advised her fellow women to always train their children in the fear of God, while appreciating the people who came to celebrate Christmas with them.
Some of the items that were distributed to different categories of people ranging from the women, the aged, the youths and the vulnerable, included wrappers, undisclosed amount of money, bags of rice, cows and assorted drinks which added to the glamour and the happy mood of the yuletide.
In their goodwill messages, some of the beneficiaries including the former Liaison Officer, Mr. Nnabuike Ottah, the Youth President of Ishiagu Enyigba, Mr. Romania Nweze, and a villager, Madam Oroke Agnes, revealed that Mr. Friday Itumo Nwali has within the past fifteen years empowered many with payment of school fees, trained many in skills acquisition, donated tricycles to the youths, built houses for the downtrodden and has assisted many with reasonable amount of money to start up businesses.
The beneficiaries who were pouring encomia on their benefactor, also thanked God for the gift of kindhearted young man whose passion is to ensure the happiness of others, and promised to give him maximum support anytime he comes out to contest for any political position, while praying for God's abundant blessings in his life and the lives of his entire family.
Earlier, the Parish Priest, Anglican Communion, Enyigba Parish, Rev. Canon Johnson Ikechukwu, commended the host for celebrating the Christmas season with the needy, and encouraged other well meaning individuals to emulate his good legacies, while advising the youths to embrace God and to promote peace in the society.
