The group popularly known as Rescue Nigeria made up of 19 Northern States has endorsed the candidature of His Excellency Engr. David Umahi ahead of 2023 Presidential election.
The National Coordinator of the group Alhaji Modibo Yahaya stated this during the meeting and flag off Campaign for David Umahi's Presidency in Gombe State this January 2022,
The national Coordinator said "This Organization included Men, Women, Elders and Youths were by all are All Progressive Congress card carrying members across the nineteen (19) States of Northern Nigeria. These people consist of Professionals, Lawyers, Doctors, Lectures, Business Men, Pastors,Imams', Retired Civil Servants, Unionists, Leaders of NGOs,CBOs e.t.c.and the Organization have formations at Regional, States, Local Governments and wards levels". Yahaya added.
During the meeting of 2023 flags Campaign for Umahi for Presidency in Gombe State, the national Coordinator Alh, Modibo Yahaya Promised and A sure his members and entire Northern States of Nigeria, if Umahi fails to deliver good leadership to Nigerians let them hold him responsible.
Also, the National Youth leader of the organization who is also doubles as Ebonyi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfar Board Member, Alhaji Sani Inusa also described His Excellency Engr, Dave Umahi as a Noble Man who give everybody equal right in his State without showing different of tribes or religion. "only Umahi can take us to the Next Level,for that I encouraged everybody to back Umahi". Inusa said.
"We are doing this campaign to show love to our Igbo brothers and to encourage unity and peace in Nigeria". Inusa added.
