As the World Association of Talent Development (WA-TD), moved to harness talents in Ebonyi, the leadership of the association has widely commended Governor David Nweze Umahi's developmental strides in the state.
WA-TD through the representative its National President, Chief Ugochukwu Azaribe, popular known as TT Temple made the commendation during the flag off a programme titled "show your talent and be empowered" in Akanu Ibiam International Conference Centre, Abakaliki.
According the him, Governor David Umahi's infrastructural transformation in the Ebonyi cannot be found in any other Southeastern states under this administration.
Azaribe, a Nollywood Actor who was the Chairman of occasion, said, "it will be a fundamental ommission for one coming to Ebonyi without commending the uncommon achievements of Governor David Umahi," noting that, "the governor's human and infrastructural developments have indeed given this state an international outlook." 
He however, described WA-TD as a non-governmental organization that has come to offer a great assistance in the area of talent harnessing and development of youths in Ebonyi State.
The Chairman observed that, "nowadays, many of our young ones with potential talents abandon their natural endowments from God looking for white collar job, political opportunities or government assistance which may be limited currently.
"The World Association of Talent Development is here in full capacity to prepare your minds, re-awaken your consciousness, encourage, harness and empower your talent potentiality through this medium.
"These, it does by providing you with this programme of opportunity, titled "showcase your talents" life touching initiative from the WA-TD board of trustees."
He added that people with talents in various human endeavours shall be allowed to dramatically, critically and artistically showcase their exceptional abilities during the event, leading to the distinction of their talents and the needed assistance will be offered unconditionally.
Azaribe said, the programme became imperative, knowing fully well that government cannot practically provide and give employment to everybody.
He said this required an urgent need for economic diversification to meet up with the increasing demands of human needs in this present era of the rising population in the country at large.
In his words, the rising demands of the human needs provoked the WA-TD to venture into talents discovery and empowerment in the society, believing that, it will provide solution grounds for talented persons who lack courage or financially incapacitated to fully develop their potentials and become self-reliance.
In his address, the Ebonyi State Coordinator of WA-TD, Comrade Chima Abraham Chima, described as a great privilege for the association to have selected his state for the event.
He opined that it is of great importance to consider youth empowerment a priority in the society, saying every young person is a season of hope enterprises and energy to the nation.
"As a matter of the fact, the only factor that geometrically give births to financial independence in our contemporary society is talents discovery, awakening development and empowerment.
"It's a natural endowment or natural inbuilt/inherent in a person. It's an intelligence or mental power poses by someone. The ability of one to perform a particular thing very well is talent, being acquired through practice, learning or inborn," Chima said.
He diclosed that Ebonyi was chosen to benefit from the WA-TD programme by its board of trustees and management in considering the developmental strides of Governor Umahi in the state.
"The excellent achievements of His Excellency, Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi speaks volume of the state and has therefore, attracted the presence of World Association of Talent Development as a result of the law of attraction of homogeneous species," he hinted.
Chima who said the association is in a serious campaign against the dormant talents, advised the youths not to build all their hopes on white collar jobs and political positions but instead, develop their talents and make diversification for a better living and achievement.
Our correspondent reports that the event was massively attended by many people especially the youths from the state and beyond, with encourage number of the attendees who showcased their talents and later smiled homes with cash and other gifts from the WA-TD.
