The Association of the Izhi Civil and Public Servants in Nigeria has called for the unification of the membership interests to ensure its members' welfare is not tampered with, irrespective of their Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs in any part of the country.
The National President of the Association, Mr Patrick Ndubisi Opoke, made the call on Thursday after a meeting with his members in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State Capital.
Mr Opoke said that the association would be of great importance to both the civil and public servants from Izhi Clan, by giving them an avenue to brainstorm together on how to contribute their quota for their welfare and development of Izhi land in Ebonyi State and beyond.
Speaking on the need to ensure massive compliance to the continuous voter registration, CVR, as the 2023 general elections come closer, the President urged all Izhi people at the age of eighteen years and above to fasten up for the registration and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs before the elections would commence.
He urged those whose voter cards have scratches on their bodies, to register new one, to avoid being disenfranchised on the election day.
He noted that the people with their voter cards would have the power to vote in credible candidates of their choice in 2023.
Also speaking, Evangelist Engr. Sunday Opoke, the bonafide member of the association urged Ebonyi people especially Izhi sons and daughters at the voter age to quickly do the voter registration without any further delay.
