The Wife of the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru, has congratulated one of her security aides, Mrs Esther Nwanga, and her husband, Mr John Nwode, on their successful wedding, urging them to build their home on love, peace, patience, forgiveness and mutual respect.
Mrs Nwifuru gave the advice during the couple's wedding reception held at the Women Development Centre in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
She described marriage as a divine institution ordained by God and advised the newlyweds to always resolve their differences amicably without allowing third-party interference, stressing that enduring homes are built on trust, understanding and commitment.
Addressing the couple, the First Lady said, "Esther and John, may your love be stronger than any challenge you may face. May your friendship be deeper than any disagreement. And may your bond remain unshakable, rooted in respect, trust and kindness."
She added, "To both families gathered here, thank you for nurturing these two beautiful souls who now stand ready to build a home of unity and love. Marriage is not just a journey of two people; it is the merging of families, cultures, values and hopes for the future."
Mrs Nwifuru prayed for God's continued blessings upon the couple, expressing confidence that their union would serve as a model for others.
"As the First Lady of Ebonyi State, I celebrate with you today. I pray that your home becomes a shining example of partnership, support and unconditional love, reflecting the beauty of God's grace. May your marriage be blessed, your dreams fulfilled and your joys multiplied," she said.
The Governor's wife described the bride as a loyal and dedicated member of her team who had served with sincerity, respect and commitment, encouraging the couple to remain supportive of one another and always forgive each other's shortcomings.
"My prayer is that the good Lord will bless your union with wisdom and give you strength to overcome every challenge that comes with marriage," she added.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, urged the couple to embrace endurance, tolerance and understanding as the foundation of a successful marriage.
He prayed for God's blessings upon their union, asking Him to grant them good health, long life, prosperity and the gift of children.
The colourful reception attracted top government functionaries, family members, friends and well-wishers who joined the couple in celebrating the commencement of their marital journey.
