The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Ebonyi State Branch, has expressed its readiness to collaborate with the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve access to quality medical services in Ebonyi State.
The association made its position known when a delegation led by its state Chairman, Dr. Chijioke Anyingor Ogah, paid a courtesy visit to the federal lawmaker at his residence in Abakaliki.
The visit, according to the delegation, was aimed at deepening professional engagement with the lawmaker following his re-election for a second term and identifying areas of mutual interest, particularly in the health sector.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Anyingor Ogah said the association considered the engagement necessary to establish a stronger working relationship with the lawmaker and explore practical avenues for advancing healthcare services in his constituency and the state at large.
He said closer collaboration between healthcare professionals and political leaders remained critical to addressing gaps in healthcare delivery and ensuring that constituents had improved access to essential medical services.
The NMA chairman commended Chinedu Ogah, who chairs the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, for what the delegation described as his contributions to healthcare development and people-oriented initiatives.
