-Assures affordable tuition fees, other prospects for citizens

Ebonyi State governorship aspirant under the platform of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Sylvester Ogbag said that he is prepared to succeed Governor David Umahi in 2023.
Ogbaga, the 4th term member representing Abakaliki-Izzi Federal Constituency in the National Assembly stated this in a statement which he made available to journalists, Monday in Abakaliki.
He commended the Ebonyi people, especially his political associates, supporters and the lovers of good governance for their unwavering solidarity since he made his interest known to them.
His words: "I want to use this opportunity to thank you all, especially my political associates, teaming supporters, family, friends and well-wishers, and indeed, all lovers of good governance, for your unwavering solidarity and overwhelming support since the beginning of this journey.
"I considered it necessary to intimate you, at this point, of progress so far in this divine mission."
Ogbaga pointed out that "the journey to give Ebonyians the good governance of their dream is still in progress."
He added: "I want to inform you that I am still in the race for the Governorship position of Ebonyi State come 2023 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); and by the grace of God, our efforts shall be crowned with success.
"So far so good, we are currently engaging the delegates across the different local government areas of the state and seeking their support ahead of the party's primaries expected to follow soon.
"Also, we are actively expanding the scope of our consultation with critical stakeholders even beyond the bounds of our political party, to increase our support base, as well as our chances of victory, during the forthcoming processes."
"Furthermore, efforts are also on top gear as we prepare for the official declaration where I will unseal the scroll and unveil my action-packed intentions for the good people of Ebonyi State. I want to assure you that I am fully prepared for the task we have all agreed to undertake together, and with your support, victory is certain.
"I want to let you know that I mean so well for the people of Ebonyi State and I am coming with friendly and life-changing policies that will uphold the sanctity of humanity's existence and positively turn around the life of every Ebonyi.
"My approach to all the institutions in the state, especially the educational institutions and civil service will restore the sanity and lost hope of many people in Ebonyi State.
"Particularly, our tertiary education institutions will receive a boost, in terms of finance and human resources, to promote effective teaching, learning and research activities, while also making the fees affordable for all. I will also ensure that our graduates are meaningfully employed, and ensure those who are willing but cannot find jobs, are empowered for self-reliance.
"Our dear Ebonyi State is very ripe for industries and investors. We will pursue massive industrialisation of the state by making friendly policies that will attract investors and ensure our rich mineral resources are adequately harnessed for the good of all.
"Also, Peace and security of lives and property of the people, which is the primary responsibility of every government, will form part of my administration's priorities. I am fully aware of the suffering and untold hardship that our people who are trapped in crisis zones are going through.
"Some of them have even been displaced from their homes and are forced to take refuge elsewhere, under different harsh realities.
"My administration if given the opportunity to serve the Ebonyi people will ensure that peace and tranquillity are restored in those areas, while efforts will be made to gradually reconcile and rebuild the affected persons and communities.
"Once again, thank you for your continuous support, understanding and cooperation, my people. God is still God and will never fail us."
