The new publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Ebonyi State, Nwachor Chibuike Nwanchor, has charged the youths to be actively involved in partisan politics by getting their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs ready to enable them to vote for candidates of their choice come the 2023 General Elections.
He gave this charge on Monday in Abakaliki while interacting with journalists on his emergence as the new Publicity Secretary of the APGA in Ebonyi State.
While advising the youths especially his party members to be enthusiastic about young persons emerging victoriously in the 2023 elections in various electives positions, Nwanchor upheld that their active participation in governance would enrich the colour of the nation's democracy.
He, however, expressed gratitude over his emergence as the APGA Spokesman in the State, noting that, "this reflects the supreme will of the Almighty God and an overwhelming sacred mandate of the people. We preserved to this divine moment. It is a divine journey whose time has come. To God be all the glory and adoration!"
Nwanchor thanked all the members of APGA, especially their National Leader, Sir Willie Maduaburuchukwu Obiano, the Party National Chairman, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, Members of the BOT, the APGA Chairman in Ebonyi State - Chief El-Stevens Okorouka and the APGA Financial Secretary, Mr Godwin Ifeanyi Kizito and all the State Excos, among others for availing him the opportunity to serve.
"My most special thanks to the distinguished senator Emmanuel Onwe (PhD), London. His effort can not be forgotten in a hurry," he added.
He described his emergence in the position as "a divine mandate," promising to 'give out his best to protect, promote and engender the growth and development of the APGA in Ebonyi State.'
He also noted that the Ebonyi State Chapter of the APGA has demonstrated itself as a party that stands for the youth inclusiveness and greater participation of young people in the electoral process, especially at this time that the 'nation is getting ready to witness another general election.'
He, therefore, encouraged every youth to get involved in politics by registering and obtaining their PVCs and ensuring that they come out to vote on election day.
The APGA mouthpiece maintained that "this way, we will ensure that the right leaders are voted into power and the process is far from compromised.
"We have all it takes to make our State whatever we collectively will that it can be. Let us, therefore, work together to build upon the foundations of our founding fathers and predecessors to create that lovable and prosperous homeland that is the industrial, technology and leisure hub of west Africa. This is our destiny, and collectively we shall get there."
