A woman, Mrs Patricia Obila has emerged as the 2023 Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ebonyi State.

Mrs Obila, until her emergence, was the Vice-Chairman of the Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Recalls that, since the creation of Ebonyi, no woman has emerged as the State's Governor or its Deputy.
Changing the narrative, Mrs Patricia Obila was chosen by the Ebonyi APC gubernatorial candidate, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as his running mate, with a strong conviction of winning the 2023 governorship election.
