The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU said it would carry on with its ongoing strike nationwide.
The decision to continue the strike was reached after the National Executive Council meeting at the union’s headquarters at the University of Abuja on Monday morning.
The meeting which began late Sunday at the University of Abuja’s headquarters of ASUU, ended early Monday morning with the resolution that the strike should be extended.
ASUU declared the commencement of a strike on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the University of Lagos.
The nation’s public university lecturers’ union has been on industrial action for 196 days.
