The leadership of Oha Izhi Nnodo Ekumaenyi in Ebonyi State under the watch of HRH S.N Oketa has announced the demise of the deputy traditional prime minister of the Izhi Nation, late Chief Nwibo Ali-Ugbala.
The Publicity Secretary of the Oha Izhi Nnodo, Apostle Benjamin Obaji, announced this on Monday, saying the date for the burial of the deceased deputy traditional prime minister popularly known as Deputy Ishiuke has been scheduled.
Apostle Obaji said: "The death of the Deputy Ishi-uke, late Chief Nwibo Ali-ugbala has been announced and Ogbo-Ohubama Izhi in conjunction with Oha Izhi Nnodo Ekumenyi has scheduled befitting traditional burial rites for Saturday 6th August 2022, at his country home-Anmegu."
He recalled that "the late sage served as Deputy to three different Ishi-ukes including late Chief Ozo Ngele Oruta and late Chief Ishi-uke Ogba-Egede Nkwuda and until his death, the current Deputy Ishi-uke to Chief Mbam Ngele Ogharu.
He noted that " it has become one of the norms of Ogbo-Ohubama under the Oha Izhi Nnodo Ekumenyi to give honour to such levels of people in our clan. So late Chief Nwibo Ali-ugbala deserves our last respect and honour.
He added: "Let's make 6th August 2022, a day to be remembered. Detailed information of the process and arrangements is already with the 3 local government authorities and 26 autonomous communities in Izhi clan for their necessary action."
