The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero has said that the Labour Party (LP) Presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi, is eminently qualified to be Nigeria’s President.
The Emir stated this when Obi visited him over the weekend at his palace in Kano State.
Alhaji Ado-Bayero who expressed his liking for the LP Presidential candidate’s eloquence, calmness, humility, respect for culture, and fear of God, said the country is blessed with resources and wondered why there’s rife suffering, poverty and crime.
The Royal Father wished the former Anambra State governor well in his electoral ambition come 2023.
Responding, Obi said, though he was in the state on a sympathy visit over the flood disaster that ravaged parts of the state, he however considered it right to first stop at the palace to pay homage to the Royal Father.
The Labour Party Presidential candidate said he has been exposed to various areas of governance for years, adding that he is experienced enough to lead Nigeria.
According to him, part of his reason for coming to the palace is to formally inform the Emir of his intention to run for the presidency in the 2023 election.
The LP presidential flag bearer had in his company, Datti Yusuf Baba Ahmed, his running mate, the party’s Kano State Gubernatorial Candidate, Bashir Ishaq Bashir, Yunusa Tanko and the party’s State Chairman, Raji. -Independent.
