Ebonyi state government under the watch of Governor David Umahi has announced its second phase of the empowerment program coming up on the 1st of October 2022.

The State Commissioner for trade and investment, Barr. Mrs Chioma Omoke Nweze who announced this on Sunday said about 7,621 Ebonyi people would be the beneficiaries of the empowerment program, slated to hold ahead of the 1st October independence day celebration.
According to the Commissioner, the "Ebonyi State government under the able leadership of His Excellency Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi FSNE, FNATE in his magnanimity has graciously approved the second phase of the empowerment program as about 7,621 Ebonyians are set to be empowered ahead of the 1st October independence day celebration and Ebonyi at 26.
"Consequent to the foregoing, all the beneficiaries are by this announcement requested to proceed to the Ministry of Trade and Investment, ground floor, Block 10, Centenary City Secretariat, Abakaliki from Monday 26th September 2022 at 9 am to 4 pm weekdays to collect wrappers and sewing stipend for the empowerment program.
"All the beneficiaries are advised for their benefit to ensure that they sew the wrapper and appear in the uniform on 1st October, 202.
"Only the beneficiaries whose names are on the list are expected to come to the Ministry for the uniform with means of identification."
